What is Cleaning Green?

Cleaning Green is effective facility cleaning and maintenance, which protects health without harming the environment.  Many cleaning providers boast they provide "green cleaning" but this may only mean the company uses certified "green" chemicals and products. 

Cavalier's CavGreen program encompasses more than just green products.  It includes the processes and procedures necessary to provide a complete program designed around LEED and GS-42 standards.

    • LEED
      The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System that encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria. 
        
  • Green Seal
    Independent (non-profit) organization that works to achieve healthier, cleaner environments  by identifying and promoting products and services that are environmentally friendly.
    • GS-42
      Green Seal's requirements for cleaning service providers, including in-house and external cleaning services, emcompassing all indoor activities typically required to clean commercial, public, and industrial buildings.
